Today, I’ll be brief by just sharing the news that the Swedish-Finnish Cultural Foundation has decided to support my project! 🙂 Their contribution is intended for work with the synthesis article on the Iron Age on Åland. And that is really great, because I cannot emphasize enough how much does the data collected so far is in need to be synthesized. Although archaeological projects have been conducted on Åland, these have often been on a really small scale, while methodology and documentation has varied a lot and research objectives have been widely divergent. Therefore, I am more than happy that I can continue to compile the results of the various investigations related to the Iron Age on the Åland islands with the support from the Swedish-Finnish Cultural Foundation.
